Fourth Pan Asian Biomedical Science Conference (Danang 5/12 to 7/12/2018)

I am writing to invite you to join me at the Fourth Pan-Asian Biomedical Science Conference (PABS) which will take place in Da Nang from 5/12 to 7/12. This PABS conference is a joint venture of more than 10 ASEAN universities from Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Philippines, Hong Kong and Korea. The mission is to promote biomedical science for improving human health in Asia through research collaboration and networking.

In previous years, the Conference was hosted by Malaysia, Thailand and Hong Kong. This year, the School of Medicine of the University of Danang will host the Conference. I have been appointed visiting Distinguished Professor of Medicine of the School, and I have been asked to chair the conference this year.

The theme of this year conference is "Biomedicine in the 21st Century: Insights from Asia". I have set out 6 subjects in this conference as follows: Clinical translation, risk assessment, traditional medicine, personalized medicine, high throughput data, and medical devices. If you are working on applied clinical research, drug screening, drug development, diagnosis, prognosis, genetics, genomics, Big Data, and medical devices, then you are welcome to submit an abstract to the Conference.

We will have 15 invited speakers who are highly regarded professors from Hong Kong, Korea, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, and Vietnam. We hope to attract some 300 to 400 doctors, health care professionals, scientists and biomedical engineers to the Conference. So far, we have received more than 70 research papers to be presented in the conference.

As Chair of the conference, I have been keenly looking for sponsors. There are 3 levels of sponsor: Platinum ($10K), Gold ($7K), Silver ($4K), Bronze ($2K), and Friend ($1K).
